2018 Getting It Clean To What’s In 2019
YES! We still exist!
Well - kind of. And I’ll get into that in a moment.
First matter of business is to wish you all a prosperous upcoming new year. May 2019 exceed your expectations as you squash your resolutions! And if you don’t meet some of those resolutions; eh - we’re aren’t perfect and don’t focus on that; look at what you are doing!
Second matter of business - what the hell happened to The Shameless Bakery?!?
Remember how at the end of 2017 I posted about a pretty horrific fall I had? Needless to say it ended up in 2018 more complicated than ever which when it came to it, Shameless had to take a huge step back while I dealt with this (and still am dealing with it). Along with other family concerns we had to move. Manassas still remains our home in our heart, but physically we moved a bit south to the Stafford area. So yes, in June we literally dropped off the map until now. Even now though we are still rebuilding.
In all of this though; the out pouring of requests and just people touching base has been truly the inspiration to keep Shameless silently going. I admit; Shameless failed in a lot of ways and that depressed me until I went back to my roots of rethinking things. I now celebrate the failures so Shameless can rebuild even stronger. And if that fails too - eh; keep it all in perspective is what I need to do.
So what can you expect in the coming months? Not much unfortunately for the months of January and February. Full disclosure - leg surgery is on the immediate horizon now and we just won’t know until we do know after the surgery what will happen time wise in getting fully back on the horse. Or in this case; just like our blog picture just trying to climb out of the washer. Maybe I am putting too much out there; but I am the owner and I believe in full honesty.
